Edinburgh hosted a team of 6 players and their Coach Peter Borg Cadrona from Malta at ESC last Tuesday.
Due to school holidays it was difficult to find any juniors that were not on holiday, but Kirsten Atkinson, John Hannah and Jamie Crawley were available.
Our President Ken Benjamin met the squad from Haymarket station just before 10am and accompanied them down to Edinburgh Sports Club.
Dave Fairholm took the session and set some training exercises for the youngsters emphasising that during summer practice to be brave and try out new techniques.
At 12:30pm it was upstairs for lunch which was up to the usual high standard at ESC.
After lunch we decided to play a slightly unfair 6 v 6 with Ken Benjamin, Gordon Muir and Lindsay Muir making up the numbers for Edinburgh.
With many good and close matches, Edinburgh were convincing winners with Kirsten winning 4, Jamie 5 and John 6. There was a good variety of styles including a chopper with long pimples.
